Let's get it out of the way that Mother, Mothering, Motherhood are fraught terms. They are gendered, they can be exclusionary, they can bring up the cult of motherhood, they exclude Dadas, etc. But it's how I identify. It feels the most like me. It took me a long time to get here, both mentally and physically, and I'm happy to be here. So to me it feels best to be a Mama, Mommy, Mom, Mother.
